Lovely Runner Ep 9 ratings highest ever as drama heads into 2nd half

It’s incredibly nice that the Korean fantasy romance drama Lovely Runner has been experiencing steadily growing ratings since it premiered on April 8th to a rating of just over 3.0 percent nationwide, and a 3.1 percent in Seoul.

Since then, the Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon-led drama has seen constant ratings growth, up to and including last night when Lovely Runner, Episode 9 aired on tvN to its highest ever audience share.

That share was 3.79 percent nationwide, and a big jump from Episode 8’s 4.09 percent.

In Seoul, the Korean drama performed even better, jumping over the 5.0 percent mark for the first time to earn 5.63 percent of the viewership — an increase of 1.0 percent from is previous episode’s rating.

Both ratings mean the K-drama is now nicely set up for continued success throughout its run, as it headed into its second half last night.

International ratings for Lovely Runner continue to be high

The K-drama hasn’t seen its international ratings fall in the last few weeks either.

Lovely Runner is currently being rated a very high 9.1 out of 10 on IMDB, a crazy high 9.1 out of 10 on My Drama List (and I say “crazy high” as anything over 8.5 on that site is rare, and an even higher 9.8 out of 10 on Viki where it is streaming for international subscribers.

Fingers crossed it will continue, as Lovely Runner has turned out to be one of the best dramas of 2024 so far (we’ll see how it ends eh?) due to the plot, the writing, the leads performances and the soundtrack.

All on point.

Back tomorrow with the ratings for tonight’s episode, which aired in Korea a few hours ago and is now streaming on Netflix.

I have a feeling, though, they may go even higher.
