New Martial Peak, Episode 27 stills feature all the main characters
Chinese animation studio CG Year has released more stills for the ongoing martial arts/cultivation donghua Martial Peak, Episode 27 ahead of its release on Sunday in China.
The new Martial Peak, Episode 27 stills are a nice mix of shots of protagonist Yang Kai cultivating, hanging out with Xia Ning Chang, and beating the crap out of one of the rival sect members trying to kill him.

Other stills in the latest batch show a couple of Yang Kai’s enemies, while we also get several really nice close ups of Xia Ning Chang who, at this point, is off on a mission with Yang Kai and has also been the victim of rival sect members’ aggression.
CG Year also commented about the stills and the upcoming Martial Peak episode:
Yang Kai and Xia leave the sect alone, and Jie Hongchen takes the opportunity to use Long Hui’s hand to retaliate against Yang Kai.
After foreseeing Yang Kai’s movements, Long Hui follows with the gang’s elite members…
The animation is exclusively broadcast on Tencent Video every Thursday and Sunday at 9 AM, VIP members can watch two episodes in advance!
Where to watch Martial Peak outside China
Season 1 of the popular Chinese anime is being animated by studio CG Year, and is streaming in China and in various other Asian countries via Tencent’s platform.
The Martial Peak anime (aka Wu Lian Dianfeng) premiered on December 5th, 2024, with its first season scheduled to run for 48 episodes.

There is no word yet on whether it will be renewed for a second season but, as it appears to have been a nicely successful series for CG Year, it likely will be.
Outside China, Martial Peak is currently streaming via Yuewen Animation’s YouTube channel, where Episode 25 was just released yesterday.
Unfortunately, the English subtitles are pretty awful on most of the episodes so, like many of us, you may want to seek it out elsewhere.
The Martial Peak plot
The story follows Yang Kai, a young disciple of the Lingxiao Martial Arts School, who starts off as a lowly servant with weak martial talent.
However, his life changes when he discovers a strange stone pillow that unlocks his hidden potential, allows him to cultivate incredibly quickly, and grants him extraordinary abilities.
As Yang Kai embarks on a journey to strengthen himself, he faces numerous challenges, battles powerful enemies, and uncovers secrets about the martial world. Along the way, he forms alliances, encounters love interests (well, it is a harem story), and strives to reach the pinnacle of martial arts, defying fate and surpassing all expectations.
The donghua combines action, adventure, and cultivation elements, showcasing Yang Kai’s growth from an underdog to a legendary martial artist.
