MAYONAKA PUNCH’s Fuu character video intros goofy, shy, modest girl whose not all she seems

As a fan of just about any YouTuber/ VTuber anime coming out, the upcoming P.A. Works-created MAYONAKA PUNCH grabbed my attention as soon as it was announced, as did today’s new character video released for the original anime.

This time, the video introducing another of MAYONAKA PUNCH‘s adorable-looking characters is a Fuu character video, which profiles the anime’s most modest and most shy character.

A girl who, while she might first appear a little socially awkward, is actually one of the most together of the members when it comes to having common-sense.

To keep her in pocket money, Fuu also works part-time at a public bath.

Yep, she’s hard-working too.

Fuu is superbly voiced by Hina Youmiya, who you will know from her roles as Anna Yamada in the ongoing second season of The Dangers in My Heart, as Akari in My Tiny Senpai, and Sakurako Mikage in When Will Ayumu Make His Move?

Yes, she seems to choose cute but quirky characters for her roles, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Along with the new MAYONAKA PUNCH‘s Fuu character video, we also got a Fuu character visual showing the “New Tuber” in her characteristic pose — her green and blue hair falling over one eye and partially covering her face, and with an awkward look on her face.

Awwwww.

The staff and studio behind MAYONAKA PUNCH

MAYONAKA PUNCH is being directed by Shuu Honma (Paripi Koumei — which, by the way, is superb) with series composition by Hideaki Shirasaka (Eps 5, 6 and 9 scripts for Paripi Koumei), with Ryouta Arima (chief animation director of Jigokuraku) adapting Tsukasa Kotobuki‘s original character designs.

And yes, P.A. Works is in charge of the anime production, which considering their series Shirabako, Hanasaku Iroha, Angel Beats!, Buddy Daddies and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms are some of the best ever made, I am entertaining very high hopes for this one.

MAYONAKA PUNCH is scheduled for a July 2024 premiere.

Watch the just released Fuu character video below and, if you are also a fan of goofy girls who quickly grab your heart, this one could be one of the best of the year.
