Moonlit Reunion hits 24000 on heat index with cute visuals dropping for 23000, 22000, 21000 and 20000 too!

New Tencent Video/WeTV supernatural romance drama series Moonlit Reunion has kicked off its run with superb viewership numbers in China only a few hours after it premiered.

That’s because, according to Tencent Video, as soon as the C-drama dropped, it just kept climbing up Tencent’ heat index, starting off at 20000 on Tencent’s heat index, and quickly catapulting to 21000, 22000, 23000 and, eventually hitting 24000.

Every milestone Moonlit Reunion passed was celebrated by Tencent with a new poster dropping via their Weibo account. (see above and below)

Moonlit Reunion‘s hitting 24000 on the heat index, its highest success so far, was celebrated on Weibo with yet another visual of the C-drama’s two leads — Xu Kai and Tian Xi Wei — and a message saying:

#Moonlit Reunion Premieres#

The fastest Tencent Video drama to reach 24,000 in heat ratings in 2025!

After much anticipation, #MoonlitReunionTencentHeatBreaks24000#!

Congrats to #MidnightReturn# for setting another record—the sweet romance of “Mei & Zhen” is coming your way!

How long can Mei Zhu Yu (aka Xu Yai — @许凯soso) and Wu Zhen (Tian Xi Wei — @田曦薇) keep their dual identities?

Tune in daily at 18:00 (Beijing Time), exclusively on TencentVideo. Let’s keep the excitement going!

Unfortunately, as of yet, Moonlit Reunion is not streaming anywhere legally in the U.S., including on WeTV, so, if that doesn’t change quickly, it looks like Americans’ only option is to bootleg the Chinese drama series.

Moonlit Reunion has already hit 5 million reservations two days before C-drama premieres

Considering I’m already watching 7 Chinese dramas at the moment, I’ll wait a few days to see if it shows up on WeTV, Linmon Pictures’ shitty quality YouTube channel, or on Viki (who are always days late dropping new episodes) but, if it doesn’t, bootlegging will be my only option as well.

A real shame, considering this is one of the most-anticipated Chinese fantasy dramas of the summer but, yet again, Americans are frozen out of the real-time viewing of it.

Meanwhile, while you are probably as disgruntled as I am about Tencent’s sub-standard service for Americans (and some Europeans as well, I hear) due to Tencent co-producing the drama with Linmon Pictures, enjoy the Moonlit Reunion 24000 heat index poster above, and the 20000 to 23000 posters below.

We’ll keep you informed here on Leo Sigh as to when Moonlit Reunion gets a legal release in the U.S. If it does, that is.
