Promise of Wizard character trailer intros Shino, Faust, Heathcliff and Nero – the Eastern wizards

The upcoming fantasy anime Promise of Wizard has a new character trailer out today.

This time, the trailer focuses on the four Eastern wizards — in order of introduction Shino Sherwood, Faust Lavinia, Heathcliff BlanchettĀ and Nero TurnerĀ (see visual above).

All of whom, as you might expect, are incredibly handsome young men.

What is Promise of Wizard?

The anime itself (known as Ā é”ę³•ä½æ恄恮ē“„ęŸ in Japan) is based on a mobile gacha game created by Coly.

In it the player, known as ‘the Sage’, is someone who has been summoned from modern day Japan to a world where, once a year, The Great Calamity occurs.

This is a catastrophic event caused by that world’s moon, with the world’s wizards being tasked to fight against it.

Now living in that world, the Sage is responsible for training wizards from all over the realm so that, the next time The Great Calamity occurs, they are strong enough to stop it.

In the anime adaptation, the Sage is a Japanese woman called Akira Masaki.

Just like Touken Ranbu, the game is populated by a group of handsome young men, which has caused it to become incredibly popular. Especially among Japanese women.

Because of that, the game has already spawned two manga series, stage plays and radio dramas.

And now a (likely) soon-to-be-hit anime series.
