Reborn as a Vending Machine gets Season 2 along with cute illustration of Boxxo and Lamis celebrating

With the first season of the comedy fantasy anime Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon coming to an end today, the official Twitter channel for the anime has already announced a second season is on its way.

That means Boxxo and Lammis will be back relatively soon (hopefully). Yay!

Along with the announcement or Reborn as a Vending Machine, Season 2, chief animation director Naoki Yamauchi has also released a very cute commemorative illustration featuring Boxxo and Lammis looking thrilled with the Season 2 news as well.

What is Reborn as a Vending Machine about?

The Reborn as a Vending Machine anime is based on the light novels by Hirukuma and Ituwa Kato.

The anime is directed by Noriaki Akitaya (Ayakashi Triangle), with series composition by Tatsuya Takahashi, and character designs by Takahiro Sakai.

Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ are in charge of anime production.

The first season of the anime is now streaming (all 12 episodes) on Crunchyroll, who has this to say about its plot:

The future of this fantasy world now lies in the hands of…a vending machine! Hakkon was once a human, until he died in an accident and was reincarnated as a sentient piece of machinery. While he can still hear and see, there’s no way for him to move by himself or speak more than his programmed phrases.

How can he make the most of this strange new life?

There is no word yet on when Reborn as a Vending Machine, Season 2 will premiere, but we will let you know as soon as we find out.

Until then enjoy the cute new illustration, and cross your fingers that it won’t be too long.
