Ryota Osaka, Akeno Watanabe, Daiki Kobayashi join The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming Japanese dub cast

The upcoming Japanese dub of the hit Chinese donghua The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming has added three new voice actors to its cast.

They are Ryouta Osaka who will be voicing Duan Ye, Akeno Watanabe playing Yue Tong and Daiki Kobayashi who voices Cheng Xi.

The character visuals for all three of their characters were also released (left to right Duan Ye, Yue Tong and Cheng Xi)

The three new cast members join previously-announced Toshiki Matsuda, who plays Fan Lingxiao / Liu Fengmang, with Manaka Iwakami as Gu Ling, the wonderful Rina Hidaka as Bai Liansu, and Takehito Koyasu as Bai Tanshu.

Donghua fans who have already been watching the superb The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming series in its original Mandarin Chinese, may also be interested in checking out the Japanese dub if you prefer your anime in that form.

Personally, I am loving the original Chinese, with the Big Firebird Culture-animated donghua itself one of the best and most fun 2D-animated series coming out of China in a while.

The Japanese dub of The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming will begin streaming in Japan on July 2nd.

If you can’t wait that long, the donghua original Chinese edition is streaming free via the Made by Bilibili YouTube, with seven episodes currently out and eight episodes for their VIP members.
