Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Ep 2 on-set photos out but they can’t show CRAZINESS of that episode

Still photos, while beautiful, cannot show the wild ride that is Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 2

Just in case you have not yet watched the latest episode of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, (and you really should get to it quickly, as it is so damned good), tvN has released a few Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 2 on-set photos this weekend that may just wet your appetite.

Photos that, while they are as beautiful as you might expect, there is no way they could possibly even start to show just how crazy that episode turned out to be.

Or how much you will be holding your breath through most of it.

Because, while the original Tale of the Nine-Tailed drama had comedy, drama and romance, much of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 so far at least is comedic.

But with the addition of some of the coolest and fastest action scenes in a Korean drama in a long, long time.

Action that, in some scenes is so wild, you will find yourself rewinding them just to watch those stunts again.

(It took me over 90 minutes to finish the 74-minute episode, as I watched some action scenes three or four times).

The new Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 on-set photos concentrate this time on both Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook) and mountain god Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon).

All the photos are from Episode 2 scenes after the pair have been re-united on the train,  and while Ryu Hong Joo is a bit too obsessed with Lee Yeon and Yeon is trying to figure out how to give the stalker a wide berth.

Not that it’s working, as Hong Joo is determined to “make him hers” one way or the other.

All five photos also show off the gorgeous costumes featured on the fantasy period drama.

From the traditional hanbok worn by Ryu Hong Joo as she tries (and fails) to twist Lee Yeon around her little finger, to the more modern and stylish red suit and veiled black pillbox hat she wears as she heads out to run her business.

Lee Dong Wook too wears beautiful  period-style costumes —  both soft less formal shirts paired with the wide leg slacks popular in the late 1930s, and tailored suits.

Both of which make him appear even more elegant than he did in the first season of the drama.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 2 aired earlier this evening in South Korea via tvN, and is also now streaming on Amazon Prime Video for viewers outside Korea.

Enjoy the Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 2 on-set photos above then head off to watch the drama itself, as it is so entertaining, you will kick yourself if you don’t.

And, if you are already aware of the delights of the drama’s second episode, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 13th as that is when the next one will premiere.
