Taxi Driver 2, Episode 3 gets highest ratings yet – one of most popular K-dramas of 2023?

The SBS drama Taxi Driver 2, Episode 3 aired on Friday night in Korea and earned its highest ratings of the series yet.

Not a surprise for fans of the action crime drama, as the K-drama has been hugely popular since its first season aired back in April, 2021.

But the new season of the drama is so well-liked by viewers in Korea it seems, the Taxi Driver 2, Episode 3 ratings are quite a bit higher than the show’s previous episode.

Taxi Driver 2, Episode 3 earned a 13.2 percent audience share in its time slot in Korea nationwide on Friday night.

Audiences in Seoul saw the drama earning an even higher 14.2 percent share.

Those ratings placed the show third in its quite competitive time slot nationwide, and in first place in Seoul.

Both those numbers are also even higher than the drama’s first episode, which aired a week ago, so it is likely the show’s popularity will continue to grow as new episodes are released and as viewers talk about them to other people.

Like its first season, the action revenge drama is based on the webtoon Mobeomtaxi, which was written by Carlos and illustrated by Lee Jae-Jin.

The series is directed by Lee Dan, and stars Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, and Pyo Ye Jin.

Taxi Driver 2 is currently airing outside South Korea via Viki, with the first two episodes free to watch. The first season of the crime drama is also streaming on the same platform, if you haven’t watched it yet.

And, if you haven’t you should, as both seasons are some of the most exciting high-action TV out of Korea in the last few years.
