The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows’ Krishna gets character visual and voice drama

The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows’ Krishna got a cute character visual earlier today via the anime’s official X account.

The visual was drawn by original creator Sakaku Hishikawa.

Along with the visual, featuring Krishna, the Royal Guard’s Vice-Commander, Lily, rescued elf and co-runner of the underground clinic and Carmilla, we also got a short voice drama starring Krishna’s voice actress Yuki Nakashima and Lily VA Miharu Hanai.

The voice drama is called ‘A Difficult Illness‘, and has Krishna at the clinic suffering from chest pains. Her face is also red, so she’s wondering if she might have a problem with her lungs or heart.

Of course, as you can probably guess, it isn’t either of those things. As, apparently, it only happens when she thinks about clinic operator, Zenos.

By the end of it, resident spirit Carmilla (VA Youko Hikasa) sums up the problem well.

Listen to the cute voice drama down below, and hit the ‘translation into English’ CC option if you don’t speak Japanese.

It follows on from the Carmilla character visual and voice drama we got a couple of weeks ago. (Update: a character trailer for Lily has also now hit)

The Brilliant Healer’s New Life... production details and plot

The fantasy anime is adapted from the hit light novels written by Sakaku Hishikawa and illustrated by Daburyu.

The Kingdom of Herzeth is dominated by the Healers, who use their power to enrich themselves rather than truly help those in need, and only those with official licenses can be recognized as Healers.

However, Zenos, a powerful healer born in the slums, was never formally educated as a Healer and did not go through the official process (thereby not gaining a license) but instead learned his skills from a mysterious man.

He eventually is asked to join an adventuring party, but is later brutally discarded when they fail to recognize his abilities and regard him as useless.

Left without money and with few options, he finds a deserted building in the slum area and sets up an underground clinic with the help of Lily, a young elf-girl he rescued.
