Just as I predicted last week when I said I expected continually increasing ratings, the Korean drama The Fiery Priest 2, Episode 5 aired last night on SBS to its highest ratings of its run so far.
The K-drama grabbed 12.7 percent of the nationwide audience share on Friday night, which is an increase from its previous episode’s 11.2 percent and its previous Friday episode’s rating of 10.7 percent.
Not bad, eh?
The higher ratings also continued in Seoul, where audiences in that region gave The Fiery Priest 2 an even higher 13.6 percent of the audience — up from its last episode’s 11.6 percent and its previous Friday’s 11.1 percent share.
Interestingly too, Episode 5 of The Fiery Priest managed to achieve that while also running in the same time slot as the just premiered new MBC drama When the Phone Rings, which also earned excellent ratings
In other words, it looks like half of Korea was watching dramas last night.
The Fiery Priest 2 stars Kim Nam Gil, Kim Sung Kyun, and Lee Hanee, alongside Ko Jun and Geum Sae Rok.
Its next episode will kick off later on tonight.
