Chinese adventure thriller The Mystic Nine: Against the Coming Storm (formerly known as The Treasured Bajia Book) is the sequel to the 2016 drama The Mystic Nine.
Although, other than William Chan and Hanson Ying, it features a completely different main cast.

A premiere date for the 36-episode The Mystic Nine: Against the Coming Storm (title 九门 or ‘Nine Gates‘ in China) has not yet been announced.
Although, as the Chinese drama only started filming in June this year, and a filming wrap has not yet been announced, it will likely be some time in 2026 before it arrives.
The drama’s plot is similarly vague:
The Xiang River surges as a storm approaches, and the road is filled with thorns. The nine gates are connected and a new situation has been established.
We will set off today.
