We finally have a premiere date for the anime The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Season 2 via the anime’s official X account.
That premier date is October 6th 2024 and it came alongside a new vibrantly colored teaser visual for season two also released today, which shows Percival and Tristan flying up the stairs Arthur is descending and launching an attack.
The anime follows on from the first season which was aired from October, 2023 to March, 2024 via Netflix.
It was directed by Maki Odaira (Pokémon Journeys: The Series), with Shigeru Murakoshi (Management of a Novice Alchemist) in charge of series composition, and Youchi Takada (chief animation direction of Blue Thermal) designing the characters, while Telecom Animation Film (Astro Note) was in charge of production.
The latest in the popular The Seven Deadly Sins franchise is based on Suzuki Nakaba’s hit manga, which has been published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since January 2021.
It has also been published in 17 tankobon volumes in Japan in the last three years.
The manga was licensed for publication in English by Kodansha USA, with 12 volumes currently out, and Volume 13 due to hit shelves towards the end of August.
Kodansha has this to say about its plot:
Percival has always lived with his grandfather on God’s Finger, a remote haven that sits high above the clouds. And though he loves the simple life, he secretly longs for adventure.
But Percival’s life is changed forever when an intruder who shares a shocking connection with him tears away everything he’s ever known.
With nothing left to do but chase down the one who took everything from him, Percival sets out on his own.
During his journey, the sheltered boy discovers that there are a lot of things he doesn’t know about normal life. Luckily, he meets friends along the way who can help him get by but how will they react when they find out about Percival’s destiny… and how it’s connected to the end of the world?
The second season of the anime will begin where the first season left off, with Arthur descending from the sky and both Tristan and Percival attacking him but being easily defeated by the more powerful man.
