When Life Gives You Tangerines hits high up Netflix Top 10

The only Korean drama on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart this week is the new romance slice-of-life series When Life Gives You Tangerines.


The new K-drama debuted on the Netflix Top 10 at #4 after garnering 3.6 million views, and being watched for a total of 13.9 million hours during the period March 3rd to March 9th, 2025.

When Life Gives You Tangerines was in the Top 10 in 24 countries, including Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong (#1), Indonesia (#1), South Korea (#1), Malaysia, Honduras, Guatemala and Peru.

What is When Life Gives You Tangerines about?

The 16-episode drama, which is being released in blocks of 4 episodes every week from March 7th to March 28th, begins by telling the story of Ae Sun and her first love, Gwan Sik.

It then continues with the stories of three generations of the same family, as they go through their own struggles in life.

It stars IU in her first main role since Hotel del Luna, Park Bo Gum (Record of Youth), Moon So Ri (who plays IU’s character in middle-age), and Park Hae Joon (Park Bo Gum’s character in middle-age).
