When the Phone Rings Ep 11 earns record ratings as K-drama heads into finale

The final episode of the MBC drama When the Phone Rings airs tonight, so it’s no surprise that last night’s episode earned the South Korean thriller a personal record in the ratings — both nationwide and in Seoul.

According to data via Nielsen Korea, When the Phone Rings, Episode 11 grabbed 8.3 percent of the nationwide audience on Friday night.

That is up from its previous episode’s 7.5 percent, and almost a full percentage point above any rating the Korean drama has garnered so far.

The MBC drama grabbed even higher ratings from audiences in Seoul, with Episode 11 taking 8.8 percent of that region’s audience.

Another big increase from Episode 10’s rating of 7.4 percent.

Still a huge hit on Netflix

Meanwhile, When the Phone Rings continues to pick up massive international audiences on Netflix, where it has become one of the most successful K-dramas of 2024.

Because of that, it is currently sitting at #4 on the platform’s Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart due to being viewed for 50.1 million hours, for a total of 4.4 million views.

It has also been high up the chart for the entire six weeks of its run.

When the Phone Rings stars Yoo Yeon SeokChae Soo Bin, Heo Nam Joon, and Jang Gyu Ri.

The Korean drama’s final episode will air later on tonight, both on MBC and via Netflix.
