Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 visual, teaser trailer and premiere date drop
We finally have a premiere date for Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 — the school-themed action fantasy anime whose first season started with an explosive opening scene, as protagonist Will Serfort slaughtered a magical beast, but then became all too predictable towards its end.
That being said, the art style in Season 1 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword was lovely, the animation excellent, and the plot interesting enough most people seemed to be happy a Season 2 would be on its way.
That Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 received updated news today via the anime’s official X account, with a cool visual of Will (above), a teaser trailer that looks back at the events of Season 1 (below), and a premiere date of some time in April, 2026.
Yep, still seven months away but, with the high level of production studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures will likely be aiming for again, not surprising either, right?
Production details for Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2
The first season of the popular fantasy anime ended on September 29th, 2024, so it will be a full 18 months since it finished before Season 2 heads our way.
Like Season 1, Wistoria: Wand and Sword, Season 2 is being directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover) but this time as chief director, and with Hideaki Nakano (Devils Line) as this season’s director.
Sayaka Ono is once again acting as both character designer and chief animation director, and with both Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures back animating.
Of course, a lot more information is likely to drop about this gorgeous looking anime series before the first episode of Season 2 releases next April, and we’ll be back here at Leo Sigh when it does.
Until then, enjoy a look back at some of the events of Season 1 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword in the teaser trailer down below.
The first season of the anime, in both a subbed and dubbed version, is streaming on Crunchyroll.
