Shangri-La 2 creditless opening and ending videos wildly different – but both cool and with bangin’ theme songs

With the first episode of Season 2 of Shangri-La Frontier premiering earlier today in (Yep, the second season really has arrived that fast), it’s not a surprise the production committee has also just released creditless opening and ending animation videos to promote it.

Creditless animation videos that not only show off the anime’s beautiful art style, but the animation in them isn’t bad either.

Shangri-La Frontier, Season 2’s creditless opening animation is bright and colorful, and shows off the anime’s fabulous character designs as we see Sunraku and gang battling it out with various enemies.

All of it happening to the bangin’ sound of the Shangri-La Frontier, Season 2 OP — LiSA’s ‘QUEEN‘ — because, yep, they managed to get the goddess herself LiSA (Demon Slayer OP and ED) to perform one of the theme songs for the anime.

Then we have the Shangri-La Frontier, Season 2 creditless ending animation, and this one has a completely different, dare I say, quite elegant style, as Sunraku, Emul, et al are all dressed up and performing in an old-fashioned night club with dark lights and luxurious fixtures.

The anime’s ED —  otoha’s ‘Dancer in the Dark Night‘ — plays along to those refined scenes. Otoha previously released the OP for Bocchi the Rock!

So, yeah, two cool creditless animations and two absolutely banging theme songs. Check them out below.

Shangri-La Frontier, Season 2 details

The first season of Shangri-La Frontier premiered in October, 2023 and ran till the end of March, 2024. Hence why I said, the second season has arrived fast.

The popular anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Ryosuke Fuji.

Like the last one, Season 2 of the comedy fantasy video-game themed anime is directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka (Handyman Saitou in Another World), with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover) in charge of series composition, and Ayumi Kurashima (Devilman: Crybaby) designing those cool characters.

Studio C2C (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-)is also back in charge of animation production and, if Episode 1 is representative of what we have to look forward to, it looks like Season 2 might be even better animated than the first season, and that was already darned well-done.

Check out the just-released Shangri-La Frontier, Season 2 creditless opening and ending animation videos below.

You can watch the first episode of the anime via Crunchyroll now.

Shangri-La Frontier, Episode 1 begins exactly where Season 1 left off, with Sunraku determined to find the Magic Application Unit Bilac needs, so she can become an Ancient Craftsman.
