Petals of Reincarnation gets trailer, key visual and cast – shows off stunning art style
Fans of reincarnation anime might want to keep an eye out forĀ Petals of Reincarnation when it drops in 2026 if you want a story that’s unusual and with a bit of a twist.
Especially if you love an absolutely stunning art style with your anime.
That twist, by the way, is hinted at in the just-released Petals of Reincarnation trailer, which dropped earlier today and showcases a plot that is dark, quite violent, but also completely unique. (watch below)
A twist that includes gaining a variety of abilities from your past lives but, in order to do so, having to slit your own throat.
Well, I did say it was unusual.
The new Petals of Reincarnation trailer also does a good job showing off the anime’s unique art style, which is gorgeous, and quite reminiscent of the equally beautiful KamiErabi GOD.app.
That art style carries over into the latest Petals of Reincarnation key visual that was dropped via the anime’s website today.
Petals of Reincarnation cast and production details
Three of the main cast members for the upcoming supernatural anime were also announced today via the Petals or Reincarnation website.
They are:
- Shouya Chiba (Nirei in Wind Breaker) who voices Toya Senji
- Wakana Maruoka (Yuki in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian) as Haito Luo Buffett
- Ayane Sakura (Yotsuba in The Quintessential Quintuplets) who plays John V. Neumann
The anime, which is based on the manga by Mikihisa Konishi, is being directed by Shun Kudou (Grendizer U), with series composition from Atsuo Ishino (The Do-Over Damsel Conquers The Dragon Emperor), and with Haruna Katou designing the characters.
BENTEN Film is animating the series.
The first volume of the manga the anime is adapted from explains its plot like this:
Dig up your past life. Break away from the days of being called talentless! Awaken!!! To the talent of your past life that lies dormant within you!!!Miyamoto Musashi’s sword, a mathematician’s lightning-fast calculations, and a serial killer’s massacre collide in this supernatural battle featuring a succession of geniuses, prodigies, and prodigies!
Petals of Reincarnation will premiere in Japan some time in 2026. As visually stunning anime go, this one looks like it may be hard to beat.
