Listen to The B-52’s ‘Love Shack’ from Servant, Season 2, Episode 8, “Loveshack”

American new wave band The B-52’s ‘Love Shack‘ was one of the tracks played on the latest episode of the Apple TV+ horror TV series Servant last night — Servant, Season 2, Episode 8, “Loveshack“.

The song was heard playing on the stereo as George repeatedly smacks his head against the wall.

The B-52’s ‘Love Shack‘ was the third single from the band’s fifth studio album Cosmic Thing, which was released in 1989 via Reprise Records.

Since its release, ‘Love Shack‘ has become The B-52’s signature song, and is performed at most of the band’s concerts.

The track was also a big hit for the Athens, Georgia band, making it to the #1 spot on the U.S. Alternative Airplay chart, as well as #1 in Australia and New Zealand, and becoming the band’s first single to sell more than a million copies.

Love Shack‘ ultimately charted in nine countries, making it onto almost 20 different charts and being certified Gold in the U.S. and the UK, as well as 2 x Platinum in Australia.

The song also came with an official music video that is not only known for being incredibly fun, but also because it featured an appearance by RuPaul long before he became famous.

Listen to The B-52’s ‘Love Shack‘ as heard on Servant in both that music video and on the band’s Cosmic Thing album.

The second season of Servant is currently airing on Apple TV+.
