A Bloody Lucky Day Ep 2 has HUGE ratings drop but likely due to FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification game

Well, this is a shame.

The new TVING/tvN drama A Bloody Lucky Day experienced a huge drop in ratings for its second episode last night compared to the much higher ratings it earned for Episode 1 on Monday night.

According to data from Nielsen Korea, A Bloody Lucky Day, Episode 2’s rating dropped to 2.65 percent nationwide last night, compared to Episode 1’s rating of 4.10 percent.

The new psychological drama also experienced a huge ratings fall in Seoul, dropping to 2.99 percent compared to the previous episode’s 4.74 percent.

Interestingly though, even though the drop was so severe, A Bloody Lucky Day did still end up in the #2 most-watched show spot on cable TV.

And that is likely because the drama’s drop was due to the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification round between South Korea vs China being aired on the same night.

Yes, South Korea is as crazy about football as much of the rest of the world and, yes, the Korean team did kick China’s ass with a final score of 3-0 to South Korea.

A Bloody Lucky Day stars Lee Sung-min, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Lee Jung-eun.

It airs every Monday and Tuesday at 22:30 (KST) on tvN and streams via TVING, where the first six episodes are now available.

With how good the first two episodes of the Korean drama turned out to be, it is highly likely its ratings will be back on the rise for Episode 3.
