One of my favorite rom com anime of last year was My Senpai is Annoying. The story of teeny tiny Futaba Igarashi and her crush on her oversized ‘senpai’ Harumi Takeda.
Like most anime fans that loved the show, I would guess, one of the things I was hoping would happen by the end of My Senpai is Annoying Season 1 is that Igarashi and Takeda would end up dating.
After all, Igarashi is cute, funny, sweet and very tsundere and seems to have fallen hard for Takeda, while Takeda, despite his big size, is kind and caring and really makes sure Igarashi is supported and helped.
Both in her job and when she was sick, and he went to her home to help take care of her.
So, do Igarashi and Takeda end up dating at the end of My Senpai is Annoying Season 1.

Are Igarashi and Takeda dating?
Unfortunately for those of us who loved the dynamic between them, by the last episode of My Senpai is Annoying, Igarashi and Takeda are still not dating.
However… there did seem to be a hint of Takeda’s growing feelings for Igarashi in Episode 12 when Takeda is invited out to drink with some of the women at work in celebration of him getting a new client.
A depressed Igarashi goes drinking alone, but is surprised when Takeda shows up.
It is then he tells her, while he went drinking with the other women for a few minutes, “I left, because I thought I’d rather be drinking with you than all of them”.
Then, as they walk to the station, Takeda tells her “Look, I don’t know who will be by your side eventually but, until then, I’ll be there by your side protecting you”.
The final scene has the pair sharing Takeda’s umbrella after it begins to rain, and him pulling her closer so she doesn’t get wet.
Now, don’t you get the feeling Takeda has feelings for Igarashi that he hasn’t quite figured out himself yet?
Watch the first season of My Senpai is Annoying on Crunchyroll, and pray we will eventually get a Season 2, so we can finally get this perfect-together-pair together.
