Double Track Puzzle hits 7000 on heat index on 2nd day of C-drama’s release
Yang Xu Wen and Wang Yan Hui’s latest crime thriller Double Track Puzzle has hit 7000 on YOUKU’s heat index today.
According to YOUKU on their own Weibo account this morning, Double Track Puzzle climbed to 7000 after hitting 6500 and 6000 a few hours previous (see celebration posters for both previous milestones below).
With 6000 on YOUKU’s heat index generally meaning a drama is “moderately successful”, that Double Track Puzzle has now exceeded 7000 on just its second day of release is a very positive sign.
A third celebratory poster for the C-drama’s 7000 milestone (top of page) was also dropped by YOUKU with the comment:
“More great news! #Double Track Puzzle Breaks 7000 on heat index#
A web of poison, thieves running rampant; using faith as a blade to cut through this intricate puzzle on the tracks!
Keep watching YOUKU, and join the fight against pickpocketing, sweep away drugs, and pursue criminals to the limit!
Double Track Puzzle is scheduled to run for 20 episodes, with 7 episodes now out on YOUKU for VIP subscribers, and Episode 8 available for those willing to pay for TV on Demand.
The Chinese drama’s support cast includes Xu Shi Yue, Xu Hong Hao, Zhao Xun and Dai Wen Bo, and while I’ve only watched its first episode so far, it was intriguing enough for me to plan on continuing.
Various character visuals for the Chinese drama have also just dropped.
I can’t say how other international viewers are rating Double Track Puzzle at the moment though, as not enough users of My Drama List are currently watching it to warrant that platform displaying a rating, and IMDB (which generally does a poor job with C-dramas anyway) is not yet showing a listing for it.
