Finally, ‘Reborn as a Vending Machine’ Season 2 gets recap trailer, visual and premiere date

One of the most surprising isekai anime released in 2023 was the quirky and weird, but also pretty wonderful, series Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon.

A fantasy series that, just as it sounds, follows a man who, after dying in an accident in the modern world, is reborn in a fantasy world — as the vending machine that crushed him.

An outcome you and I would likely hate, but something he wasn’t that bothered about as, you guessed it, he’s a raving vending machine fanatic.

And now, over a year since a cute visual of protagonist Boxxo and his friend Lammis came out in late 2023, more news about its long-awaited Season 2 is finally out.

That news came in the form of A Reborn as a Vending Machine, Season 1 recap trailer, an illustration of Boxxo, and an official premiere date.

Yay! Freaking Yay!

While the Reborn as a Vending Machine recap trailer doesn’t give us any more information about the anime’s next season, it does do a great job of reminding us how protagonist Boxxo, the vending machine, ended up where he did.

We then get a 1-minute rundown of the key events of Season 1, finishing up with Boxxo and his new friends, including best friend and strong girl Lammis, defeating the King of Souls.

And now he, Lammis and the other quirky characters in the anime are gearing up for yet more adventures in Season 2. Including heading off on a new mission to defeat the Netherlord.

The trailer’s accompanying visual, which was released on the anime’s X account along with the trailer, is a cool illustration of Boxxo, and came with the comment:

A former vending machine enthusiast’s knowledge and encounters with new friends.

Will Boxxo and his friends be able to defeat the Netherlord with the power of their new form changes?

Guess it will depend on what type of products Boxxo is able to dispense this time, right?

Reborn as a Vending Machine, Season 2 premiere date

The premiere date I previously mentioned for Reborn as a Vending Machine, Season 2 is July, 2025.

Takashi Yamamoto (Onigiri) is taking over from Season 1 director Noriaki Akitaya, while Tatsuya Takahashi (The Faraway Paladin) is back in charge of series composition, and Takahiro Sakai (Yuki Yuna is a Hero) is returning to design the anime’s characters.

Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ are also back in charge of animation production.
