Handyman Saitou in Another World trailer profiles odd couple Lilyza and Gibble – both kickass at what they do

The upcoming Handyman Saitou in Another World anime received a new trailer today, which features party members Lilyza Luessenpop and Gibble.

Lilyza is also known as Lilyza the Hexenbiest Hunter due to the kickass way she annihilates those monsters, and Gibble, a ranger is known as a jack of all trades — although he is also a very competent wizard and a thief.

Down in the dungeons both of them show off their prowess, with Lilyza making short work of destroying the hexenbiest she is fighting, and Gibble proving no lock can withstand his skills as a lockpick.

Lilyza is voiced by Yumiri Hanamori (Nadeshiko in cute girls doing cute things anime Laid-Back Camp), with Gibble played by Hanata Tadokoro (Tanabe-sensei in Teasing Master Takagi-san).

The Handyman Saitou in Another World anime (aka Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku) is based on the popular manga series by Kazutomo Ichitomo.

The anime is directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka (Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina), with Kenta Ihara (Tomodachi Game) in charge of both scripts and series composition.

Youko Tanabe (key animator for Promare) is designing the characters.

Studio C2C (Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu) is in charge of anime production.

My Anime List describes the plot of the isekai anime in this way:

Despite being a handyman with a wide range of skills, Saitou is severely undervalued and underpaid. When he complains, his boss fires him, claiming that he is easily replaceable. As if his luck was not bad enough, Saitou soon finds himself about to be run over by a truck on his way home.

Surprisingly enough, Saitou does not die; instead, he is transported to another world. There, he meets a party composed of the female knight Raelza, the moonlight fairy Lafanpan, and the mage Morlock, who are all coincidentally looking to recruit a new member with a skill set like Saitou’s.

Throughout their time together, Saitou uses his expertise to assist his fellow party members and soon comes to receive the recognition he never thought was possible. However, Saitou’s presence may just be the catalyst that will connect a diverse cast of people from different places, slowly uncovering the fate that could bring a great change to this world.

The fantasy anime is due to premiere sometime in January, 2023.

A trailer that makes the upcoming isekai anime look like a high-energy, action-filled series with some pretty cool characters.
