Official photos have been released from the upcoming K-drama Our Movie‘s script reading, and the first thing that came to my mind is, man, Namkoong Min wearing glasses is so damned cute! (see below)
One photo was released from the K-drama’s script reading of each of its main stars — Namkoong Min, Jeon Yeo Been, Lee Seol, and Seo Hyeon Woo.
And yep, they all look as though they are intently involved in playing their characters in the most authentic way possible, don’t they?
What is Our Movie about?
We first reported about Our Movie here on Leo Sigh back in July, 2024 when it was announced Namkoong Min would likely be one of the male leads.
Namkoong was right off the ending of the smash-hit 2023 K-drama My Dearest, and his recent Baeksang Award as Best Actor for his role in the production.
Jeon Yeon Been, Lee Seol and Seo Hyeon Woo were also soon added to the cast, and a June 13th, 2025 premiere on SBS then announced.
As for the plot of Our Movie, it follows movie director Lee Je Ha (played Namkoong Min), who received worldwide attention for his debut film but has been unable to start a second film due to believing directors’ second films are always jinxed.
In an attempt to not succumb to the supposed jinx, Lee Je Ha begins filming of his second film and, in the process, meets Lee Da Eum (Jeon Yeo Been), a woman who is hospitalized due to an incurable illness that will likely kill her.
The two soon become close and, while giving Lee Je Ha advice on his script, this becomes a turning point for Da Eum who is also an aspiring actress.
My guess is this one will likely have a sad ending, but the premise does sound interesting, doesn’t it?
Our Movie (title in Korean — 우리 영화) is co-written by Han Ga Eun and Kang Gyeong Min, and directed by Lee Jung Heum (Inspector Koo). It is produced by studio Beyond J and Studio S.
Lee Seol plays Chae Seo Young, a prominent actress, while Seo Hyeon Woo is Boo Seung Won a producer involved in the project.
The Korean romance melodrama was originally going to be aired on tvN but is now scheduled to air between June 13th, 2025 and July 19th, 2025 on SBS TV every Friday and Saturday evening.
Enjoy the cast’s script reading photos, and look out for the K-drama when it hits, as this is a cast that is just too big to ignore.
