The ongoing Korean drama Love Your Enemy hasn’t even hit its halfway point yet, but it still managed to grab its highest ever Saturday ratings in South Korea last night.

Data via Nielsen Korea shows Love Your Enemy, Episode 5 earning 5.04 percent nationwide last night, which is a substantial increase from last Saturday’s 3.33 percent.

It is also the K-drama’s second highest rating of its run so far.

Meanwhile, in Seoul, Love Your Enemy, Episode 5 performed even better, garnering 5.60 percent of that region’s viewership — up from last Saturday’s 3.60 percent.

An excellent result considering the only other Korean drama airing on Saturday (see below), Iron Family, earned its lowest rating yet.

South Korean dramas not airing on Saturday night due to politics

The Korean drama was also one of the few dramas airing on Saturday night as The Fiery Priest 2 on SBS, When the Phone Rings on MBC, Marry YOU on Channel A, and The Tale of Lady Ok on JTBC didn’t air due to the political situation in South Korea.

That situation for those not in the know, by the way, was South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol instituting martial law a few days ago, having said martial law removed by lawmakers, and then surviving his own impeachment vote on Saturday.

Nope, things aren’t rosy in South Korea right now.

But, back to Love Your Enemy, which stars Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi and airs on tvN, the K-drama’s next episode will air later on tonight.

Let’s see how it performs then, eh?
