My Daughter Left the Nest trailer intros Belgrieve and Angeline – a proud father and his kickass daughter

My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer showcases cool relationship between a father and his adopted daughter

The upcoming anime series My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer is due to premiere in October, but anime production studio Typhoon Graphics is already showing off just how adorable the new fantasy action adventure seems to be.

Especially if you like a story about a proud father who wants only the best for his daughter, and a daughter who even at the age of 15 is one of the most powerful adventurers around.

That “showing off” My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer this week included a new trailer introducing retired adventurer Belgrieve and his adopted daughter Angeline, alongside an equally beautiful key visual featuring the pair.

Just in time for Father’s Day, eh?

What is My Daughter Left the Nest about?

The upcoming anime follows Belgrieve, a man who used to be an adventurer until he lost his leg.

No longer being able to do the things an adventurer needs to do to be both successful and stay alive, Belgrieve returned to his village where, out in the woods gathering herbs one day, he hears a baby crying.

With no parents in sight, Belgrieve takes the girl in, names her Angeline, and raises her as his own.

Until, at the age of 10, he sends her away to be trained at the adventurer’s guild in the Capital after Angeline tells him she also wants to be an adventurer.

Five years later, and Belgrieve has not seen Angeline since she went to the Capital, and then she returns.

But now Angeline is a distinguished S-Class adventurer and, man, can she kick some major ass.

There are 11 volumes out in Japanese, with J-Novel Club already publishing eight of the volumes in English.
