A new My Hero Academia Season 4 trailer has just gone up on Japanese distributor Toho’s YouTube channel.
A trailer previewing the latest My Hero Academia opening theme song — ‘Polaris‘ by Blue Encount — and featuring Season 4’s new character Eri, played by Seiran Kobayashi (Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei! and Okko’s Inn).
Season 4 will begin airing on TV in Japan on October 12th, with Crunchyroll likely simultaneously streaming it with English subtitles, and Funimation streaming the dubbed version.
Something most fans of the action comedy series will be thrilled about. Considering the series is one of the most popular anime series of all time.
The first season of My Hero Academia aired in April, 2016, followed by Season 2 exactly a year later. The third season came a year after in April, 2018.
That means it will be 18 months in between Seasons 3 and 4, and not the 12 months we have come to expect.
There was a film released mid-way through Seasons 3 and 4, however — My Hero Academia: Two Heroes — with another one — My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising — due to hit theaters in December of this year.
So we can’t really complain.
