With the comedy fantasy anime Dungeon People on its way soon (an anime, btw, that’s at the top of my list for Summer, 2024 releases), it’s not surprising a second Dungeon People trailer has been released today.
Right on the top of last week’s trailer release.
The second Dungeon People trailer features both snippets of the opening and ending theme songs — “Micro Revolution“ sung by voice actor unit TrySail and the ending theme “Blue Print“ performed by Akari Nanawo — so you get a musical feel for the anime before it premieres.
The new trailer also takes a longer look at how Clay ends up working in the dungeon, as we see Belle introduce her to all the monsters working there and Clay looking a little perturbed that she will be working alongside actual monster.
We then see all the monsters following Belle’s instructions, although Clay herself admits Belle works very hard as managing that many different beings can be difficult.
Finally, the latest trailer also introduces many of the voice actors who have been cast in the fantasy anime, and their characters.
Along with the anime’s latest trailer, we also got a new cuter than cute Dungeon People key visual featuring protagonists Clay and Belle looking over Belle’s plans for the dungeon, while workmen of all kinds of different races work around them. (see below)
Dungeon People premiere
The Dungeon People anime is based on the manga by Sui Hutami.
It is being published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, who explains the fun-sounding plot in this way:
Searching for her lost father in a fantasy dungeon, master thief Clay meets the dungeon’s caretaker to learn its secrets in this intriguing new manga—inspired the upcoming anime!
An unexplored dungeon, filled with monsters and traps. An expert thief, searching for her lost father. When Clay delves into the dungeon deeper than any adventurer has ever gone, she is offered a job by the dungeon’s caretaker!
Now, instead of exploring, Clay must learn how to interview new monsters, set traps and position slimes around the dungeon. Will this new career path bring her any closer to finding her father?
Sayaka Yamai (Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout) is directing the anime, with Toshimitsu Takeuchi (Life with an Ordinary Guy…) in charge of series composition, and Hiromi Nakayama (Odd Taxi) designing those incredibly cute characters.
The super animation studio OLM (The Apothecary Diaries, Dark Gathering, and Summertime Render) is in charge of anime production.
The anime itself will premiere on July 5th, 2024.
And I don’t know about you but, when it comes to cute characters, a beautiful art style, solid animation, and a fun story, from the trailers and key visuals released so far, Dungeon People definitely hits every mark for me.
