With it being three years since the first season of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles premiered, you could be forgiven in thinking Season 2 would never appear.
Thankfully, we now know via the Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles official X account that Season 2 is not only on its way, but will premiere just three months from now in October, 2024.
Along with its premiere announcement today, we also got a new Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles 2 trailer, and a beautiful key visual.
The latest vibrantly-colored Seirei Gensouki key visual features Rio, surrounded by Miharu, Aishia, Latifa and Celia.
They all look like they are creating strong bonds with each other.
Meanwhile, the latest Seirei Gensouki trailer (watch below) kicks off where we left Rio at the end of Season 1, with his childhood first love, Miharu Ayase, having suddenly arrived in the new world.
We then meet Aki and Masato who, along with Miharu appear to also have been summoned to the new world.
Seirei Gensouki 2 cast members, both returning and new, have also been confirmed. They are:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who plays Rio
- Akane Fujita who is Celia Claire
- Yuki Kawahara who voices Aishia
- Tomori Kusunoki plays Latifa
- Sayaka Harada is Miharu Ayase
- Marika Kono voices Aki Sendo
- Aguri Onishi is Masato Sendo
- Kaede Hondo plays Flora Beltrum
- Nao Toyama voices Liselotte Cretia
- Hiroyuki Yoshino plays Sakata Hiroaki
The anime itself is based on the hit light novels by Yuri Kitayama and Riv.
It is being directed by Hiroshi Kubo, with TMS Entertainment and WAO World in charge of anime production.
