Senpai is an Otokonoko anime reveals new trailer and cast members

Senpai is an Otokonoko, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of the manga series by Yuuki Takami, has unveiled its full promotional video.

The new Senpai is an Otokonoko trailer offers a deeper look into the story and characters, and their backstories, while also revealing two more cast members joining the anime project.

The series, set to premiere on July 5th, is being produced by the renowned studio Project No.9.

The anime’s latest trailer showcases the unique blend of comedy and drama that has made the original manga a fan favorite, along with a quite unique art style as it switches backwards and forwards between an almost hazy traditional anime style and a stark clownish cartoon.

Not my personal taste, but you may like it.

The Senpai is an Otokonoko trailer also features snippets of the anime’s opening theme, “Tenshitachi no Uta,” by fhána, and the ending theme, “Suisou no Buranko,” is performed by Kitri.

So far, the catchy and upbeat songs seem to perfectly complement the anime’s tone and style.

What is the Senpai is an Otokonoko plot?

The plot of the crossdressing anime goes like this:

Can true love really overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto. Taken aback, Makoto reveals his secret, but the sudden discovery doesn’t seem to bother Saki who is already head over heels for him.

After being rejected, Saki asks Ryuji, Makoto’s childhood friend, for some advice on how to win his heart. A love triangle unfolds when Ryuji realizes that he might also have some feelings for his old friend.

The new Senpai is an Otokonoko trailer also introduces two new cast members.

They are:

Mika Hanaoka, voiced by Mai Nakahara (Kaavi in Mahjong Soul Kan!!), and Konatsu Taiga, voiced by Kaori Maeda (Nashiko in Pon no Michi).

Mika Hanaoka is Makoto’s mother, while Konatsu Taiga is Ryuji’s younger sister.

With its unique premise, and what look to be both crazy and charming characters, the anime has been poised for a while to be one of the standout series of the summer season.

With the release of the new Senpai is an Otokonoko trailer, and cast members, both have only served to heighten the anticipation for what promises to be a delightful and memorable anime experience.

Mark your calendars for July 5th. Crunchyroll will be streaming it.
