Song Ji Hyo in a guest appearance in Sh**ting Stars

It has been quite a while since we have seen Korean actress Song Ji Hyo in a K-drama.

Since 2022, in fact, when she made a guest appearance in the hit comedy romance Sh**ting Stars.

Four years later, however, and Korean news media has just announced Song Ji Hyo will be making another guest appearance.

This time in the upcoming Park Min Young-led drama Confidence Queen, which is currently scheduled to premiere some time in September, 2025.

The new K-drama is an Amazon Prime Video exclusive, and is a 12-episode series adapted from the Japanese drama The Confidence Man JP, which starred Nagasawa Masami, Higashide Masahiro and Kohinata Fumiyo.

In it, the story follows three incredibly talented con artists as they plan and carry out elaborate scams. But scams that target criminals and Mafia members, instead of innocent people.

Park Min Young plays Yun I Rang, the leader of the con artists, while Joo Jung Hyuk (Frankly Speaking) and Park Hee Soon (The Bequeathed) play the other two members.

Prior to 2022, and before much of Song Ji Hyo’s career got taken up by variety shows like Running Man, and with commercial endorsement contracts, the now-43-year-old Korean actress starred in K-dramas like My Wife’s Having an Affair This Week, Ex-Girlfriend Club, Emergency Club and Heaven’s Order.

It will be interesting then to see her finally appear in another K-drama, with Confidence Queen, just for its main cast alone, likely to be highly-watched.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to Confidence Queen premiering!
