The Apothecary Diaries’ Gaoshun character video proves Jinshi can be a big problem

Last week, TOHO Animation released a character video for The Apothecary Diaries‘ Jinshi, which showed the palace “eunuch” in all his gorgeous glory.

This week, it is the turn of Jinshi’s sidekick (ummm… loyal attendant) Gaoshun, who got his own character video earlier today.

As you might expect, the Gaoshun character video shows the attendant having to deal with Jinshi’s many moods, especially when they concern Maomao, and gently chastizing his charge when he becomes careless in hiding his true identity.

It also has the kind man watching over Maomao, making sure she is taken care of, and even giving her the cute nickname “Xiamao”.

We even get a flashback to Jinshi as a child, having temper tantrums and being comforted by Gaoshun.

Yes, Jinshi’s attendant has been with him for a long, long time. No wonder he takes care of him so well.

Who plays Gaoshun in The Apothecary Diaries?

Watch the just released Gaoshun character video below, and remember the next time you see him in The Apothecary Diaries, Gaoshun has a heckuva lot to put up with when it comes to the person he obviously cares about.

And by the way, fans of the now-pretty-much classic Boys Love’ anime series Sekaiichi Hatsukoi will recognize the voice of Gaoshun as that of Katsuyuki Konishi (aka Sekaiichi Hatsukoi‘s Masamune Takano).

The same voice actor who brilliantly voiced heartthrob, editor and wanna-be love interest of Ritsu — Takano Masamune.

Just another reason why so many of us love Jinshi’s attendant so much.
