Regardless that other so-called “Korean drama websites” tell you otherwise, The Midnight Studio, Episode 9’s ratings actually dropped in South Korea last night as the K-drama headed into its second half.

Not by much but, yes, disappointingly the ENA show’s ratings did drop. Both nationwide and in Seoul.

According to data from Nielsen Korea, The Midnight Studio, Episode 9 earned 2.06 percent of the Korean audience share nationwide, which is a small drop from its previous episode’s rise to 2.17 percent.

In Seoul, the Korean drama also saw a slight ratings drop, falling from Episode 8’s 2.44 percent to last night’s 2.21 percent viewership.

Meanwhile outside South Korea, viewers on Viki, where the drama is streaming in many international regions, are still rating the Joo Won-led drama with a very high 9.6 out of 10.

My Drama List, whose viewers are notoriously stingy with their ratings, are also still giving it a solid 8.3 out of 10 (that’s a very strong rating from users of that site, who rarely go higher than an 8.8 out of 10).

A rating that has held steady since its first episode premiered on March 1st.

The Genie TV original drama stars Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Yoo In Soo and Eum Moon Suk, and airs on ENA/streams on Genie TV every Monday and Tuesday evening through May 6th.
