International reaction to the premiere of The Tale of Lady Ok

While some users of My Drama List are complaining Lim Ji Yeon as ‘Lady Ok’ was overacting in several scenes, others are pointing out that is often the nature of Korean comedy dramas.

Something that makes western audiences uncomfortable, but is perfectly normal for a Korean audience.

Some others also commented, while they enjoyed the first episode, they were not sure the K-drama could sustain their interest through 16 episodes. So we will see how that turns out.

Others, however, have nothing but praise for the first episode of The Tale Of Lady Ok leaving comments like:

The first episode was FIRE. It had it all. It totally got me immersed in the story. Loved the story, the pacing, the cinematography, the music, everything. The quality is top (notch). The female lead is so interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens to her next. I am looking forward to her encounter with the male lead after a year!!!

The drama is a top tier for me. From the 1st episode the story, the tragedy, the acting, the photography places, the events everything is great honestly and, of course, don’t forget the female lead she’s a great actress.

The Tale of Lady Ok, which stars Lim Ji Yeon, Choo Young Woo, Yeonwoo and Kim Jae Won, is currently airing every Saturday and Sunday evening on JTBC in South Korea, with Kocowa, Netflix and WeTV streaming the K-drama, depending on your region.
