New The Atypical Family poster has Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee gazing into each other’s eyes

New The Atypical Family poster features Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee

JTBC’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama, The Atypical Family is slated for a May 4th premiere, and that’s why, with just a couple of weeks to go, a new poster for the Korean drama was unveiled yesterday.

After all, you want prospective viewers to anticipate just how much they are going to love the upcoming supernatural romance fantasy.

A new The Atypical Family poster showing a heartfelt gaze between protagonists Bok Gwi Joo (played by Jang Ki Yong) and Do Da Hae (Chun Woo Hee) definitely hits the spot.

What is The Atypical Family plot about?

The Atypical Family (aka 히어로는 아닙니다만 in Korean) weaves a tale of supernatural fantasy romance, in which a man endowed with the extraordinary power of time travel, but previously beyond salvation, finds redemption in rescuing a woman destined by fate.

After all, before meeting her Bok Gwi Joo, who has been suffering from depression has not only lost his ability to feel joy, but also the superpower that allows him to travel through time.

After Do Da Hae comes into his life, however, things begin to change. Both for him, and for his family — most of whom have also lost their superpowers.

The latest The Atypical Family poster captures the intimate eye contact shared by Bok Gwi Joo and Do Da Hae as they both realize meeting each other means their lives may never be the same.

Alongside Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee, we also get the stellar cast of Go Doo Shim (Island), Kim Su Hyun (Gyeongseong Creature), child actress Park So Yi (See You In My 19th Life) and Oh Man Seok (Wonderful World).

Don’t miss the May 4th premiere of The Atypical Family, which hits JTBC at 10:30 PM.

While a western streaming platform hasn’t been announced yet, my guess is it will likely show up on Viki.
