Serendipity’s Embrace, the only Korean drama airing on Tuesday night in South Korea, saw a sizable drop in its ratings for its second episode last night.

According to Nielsen Korea, Serendipity’s Embrace, Episode 2 earned 3.33 percent of the viewership, compared to the 3.87 percent the K-drama earned for its first episode on Monday night.

That is a drop of more than .50 percent in just one day.

The tvN drama also saw a similar drop with audiences in Seoul, with Serendipity’s Embrace, Episode 2 earning 4.02 percent, which is down from Episode 1’s rating of 4.75 percent.

Outside Korea, however, the Korean rom-com has earned even higher ratings after Episode 2 streamed last night.

Even users of My Drama List, who are notoriously stingy with their ratings, are awarding it a solid 8.3 out of 10 after Episode 2 — up from the 7.9 out of 10 it was being rated after Episode 1.

The small number of IMDB users watching the K-drama are also rating Serendipity’s Embrace with high ratings, giving it 8.9 out of 10 compared to the 8.7 out of 10 it was earning after Episode 1.

The drama is being rated the highest on Viki, where it is currently streaming for that platform’s subscribers and being rated an incredibly high 9.8 out of 10 — up from the already crazy high 9.7 out of 10 it earned after Episode 1.

Serendipity’s Embrace stars Kim So Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Yoon Ji On, and Kim Da Som.

It airs every Monday and Tuesday evening on tvN in South Korea, with the Korean drama’s next episode due to air on July 29th.

With six more episodes of the mini-drama yet to air, there is still plenty of time for its ratings to rise both in South Korea and internationally.
