The eighth episode of the ongoing MBC TV drama When the Phone Rings aired on Saturday night to the K-drama’s highest ratings yet.



Data via Nielsen Korea shows When the Phone Rings. Episode 8 grabbed 7.0 percent of the nationwide audience share, which is a solid increase from its previous episode’s 6.0 percent the night before.

The Korean drama saw an even higher ratings increase from viewers in Seoul, jumping from Friday night’s 5.1 percent to last night’s 6.8 percent.

According to Flix Patrol, When the Phone Rings is also still going gangbusters on Netflix, where it is currently in the Top 10 in 72 countries.

That likely means we will also see the Korean crime drama still on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart when it is updated on Tuesday.

When the Phone Rings stars Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, Heo Nam Joon, and Jang Gyu Ri.

It airs on MBC in South Korea every Friday and Saturday night. With just four episodes left to air, its next episode hits the airwaves on Friday, December 27th.
