Why is season finale of The Fiery Priest 2 not airing on December 21st as scheduled?

As if it wasn’t bad enough that the Korean drama The Fiery Priest 2 has already had two episodes postponed over the last two weeks, it now appears the season finale of The Fiery Priest 2 will not be airing on Saturday, December 21st as scheduled either.

This is due to SBS airing the 2024 SBS Drama Awards live on December 21st in the time slot that would usually be taken by The Fiery Priest 2.

When can you watch The Fiery Priest 2, Episode 12 then? And will Episode 11, which is scheduled to air this Friday night, be postponed as well?

When The Fiery Priest 2, Episode 11 and 12 will air

Thankfully, the Korean drama’s next episode, Episode 11, will still air during its usually scheduled time of 22:00 (KST) on Friday December 20th.

But, just like the previous two weekends, the Korean comedy crime drama will only have one episode airing next weekend, with The Fiery Priest 2, Episode 12, the season finale, now having its airing pushed off until Friday, December 27th — a week later.

Sure, it delays the time we will finally be forced to say goodbye to our favorite lunatics, but it still means the final four episodes of the K-drama have now been stretched out from the original two weekends they should have aired to now four.

The only good news is that, even with these delays over the last few weeks, they haven’t negatively affected the K-drama’s ratings in the slightest.

The Fiery Priest 2 (aka열혈사제2) stars Kim Nam Gil, Kim Sung Kyun, Lee Hanee, Sung Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, and Kim Hyeong Seo (aka BIBI).

Its first 10 episodes are now available to watch on Disney+.
