And speaking of yesterday’s Christmas Day Top of the Pops special, electro-pop band Years & Years, like Coldplay, was another band that gave a fabulous performance on the once-a-year show with their upbeat #1 single ‘King‘. Despite the fact that BBC technicians didn’t seem to be able to get the mic quality as it should be — with any of the acts — and so frontman Olly Alexander was being drowned out by the music most of the time.
Still, the lads gave it their all, looked like they were having a whale of a time and ‘King‘ is a damned cool song any way you look at it.
Watch them perform it below. After all, it’s worth watching just to see Olly with angel’s wings and a glittery head.
