After yesterday’s release of photos of Kim So Hyun from the upcoming JTBC drama Good Boy, it is now the turn of fellow main cast member Lee Sang Yi.
The new Lee Sang Yi photos introduce the 32-year-old actor playing Kim Jong Hyeon, an Olympic gold medalist fencer who is fighting in the men’s saber final at the Olympic Games.
The photos show Jong Hyeon giving his all during the match as well as ecstatic with his performance after it, as he pulls off his mask and screams.
Yep, it is pretty obvious he won gold.
Good Boy also stars Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Suk.
A cast that is absolutely stellar, and that promises to serve up a K-drama that is as cool as it is exciting.
Because of that, my prediction is Good Boy will go down as one of the best K-dramas of 2024 when it releases later in the year.
After all, a large group of actors of this caliber rarely sign on to a dud.
JTBC’s Good Boy plot
Good Boy is a comedy drama that follows a group of former Olympic gold medalists who realize, due to a variety of circumstances, that their sporting careers will soon come to an end.
Due to this, they decide to join the police force as part of a special force called ‘Olympic Avengers’. A group that uses their athletic talents to go after criminals.
Lee Sang Yi plays Kim Jong Hyeon.
A fencer who retires from fencing, passes the police academy with top marks, and then joins the Olympic Avengers as an Assistant Inspector.
As you might expect from someone who spent many years dedicating his life to fencing, Jong Hyeon now uses that same dedication in his new career as a police officer.
Check out the fabulous Lee Sang Yi photos from Good Boy, and look forward to photos of Heo Sung Tae in his role as an Olympic wrestler next.
Again, Good Boy premieres on JTBC in the latter half of 2024.
Meanwhile, you can watch the fabulous Lee Sang Yi earlier this year in his role as Joo Seok Hoon in the hit K-drama My Demon on Netflix.
