‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 trailer intros Sakura Heartrock as the princess salivates over honey toast

A new ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 trailer has been released today, as the second season of the comedy fantasy anime heads our way in January, 2026.

As you might expect, the short teaser trailer again has the princess succumbing to “torture”. This time for a thick slice of honey toast.

The ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2 trailer also intros new character and former assassin Sakura Heartrock who is being voiced by Matsumi Tamura (Kobayashi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid).

Sakura appeared earlier in the key visual for the second season of the hit anime, which was released back in April.

Just like its first season, ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 is being animated by Pine Jam, with Youko Kanamori directing again.

Keiichirou Oochi is taking over series composition from Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, while Masaaki Takiyama is again designing the quirky characters.

Masaru Yokoyama is also back to compose the anime’s soundtrack.

As for its plot, according to the first volume of the long-running Japanese manga series, which is written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, it goes like this:

Many years have passed since the King’s army and the Demon King’s army began clashing. The princess, who is also the “commander of the Knights” of the King’s army’s third knight order, has been held captive by the Demon King’s army!

A series of extraordinary tortures await the princess…!? The most brutal torture begins now!
