What are Hime and Sakura Heartrock up to?
After the anime was announced over a year ago, news is finally out via the anime’s official X account that the premiere date for ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 is now locked in.
Although, with it being January, 2026, it isn’t as soon as most of you would probably like.
Along with that announcement, we also got a new and quite powerful ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 visual featuring Hime and new character Sakura Heartrock, and a message about that visual:
The princess is depicted as the leader of the knights, and Sakura Heartlock is a former assassin.

Nope, no idea what they’re up to, but the visual makes it look intriguing.
‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, Season 2 production details
Like Season 1, the second season of ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is based on the popular comedy gourmet manga written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei.
The manga currently has 16 volumes out in Japanese, with Volume 17 on its way in May.
No western publisher has picked it up for an official English physical copy translation as yet, but you can read it for free via the Manga Plus app.
As for its anime adaptation, while we do now know when Season 2 will land, its production staff has not yet been confirmed.

Season 1’s staff, who could easily be coming back to reprise their roles for the anime’s second season, were Youko Kanamori as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Shangri-La Frontier) in charge of series composition, and Toshiya Kouno (Sword Art Online) as both character designer and chief animation director.

As for its plot, which quite frankly is a bit of a strange one, the first volume of the Japanese manga explains it like this:
Many years have passed since the King’s Army and the Demon King’s Army started clashing.
The princess, who is also the “Commander of the Knights” of the King’s Army’s Third Knights, has now been taken prisoner by the Demon King’s Army!
Soon, a series of outrageous tortures await the princess――!? The most cruel torture begins now!!
And no, it’s not remotely as it sounds.
