I have got to say I am thrilled to see the female-led Korean drama A Virtuous Business not only increase its ratings since its first episode aired on October 12th, but also maintain those ratings right through to its penultimate episode.
That episode — A Virtuous Business, Episode 11 — aired in South Korea last night to its highest Saturday ratings since it premiered.
Nationwide ratings that had the JTBC drama earn 5.72 percent — up from last Saturday’s 4.39 percent — and a rating in Seoul of 5.84 percent — up from last Saturday’s 5.02 percent.
Those excellent ratings also seem to suggest, when the final episode of A Virtuous Business airs later on tonight, it will probably go out with the highest rating of its entire run.
Fingers crossed!
Along with the also very successful Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born on tvN, A Virtuous Business also features one of the year’s best almost all-female main casts.
A cast that also enabled the Korean drama to sit on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for two weeks.
The final episode of A Virtuous Business will air on JTBC in South Korea tonight, and stream soon after on Netflix.
Thanks to the cast — Kim So Yeon, Yeon Woo Jin, Kim Sung Ryung, Kim Sun Young, and Lee Se Hee — director Jo Woong (Love All Play), and writer Choi Bo Rim (My Roommate is a Gumiho) this one has been excellent.
