Black Out, Episode 8 aired last night to more new all-time high ratings, topping what the mystery crime drama earned on Friday night nationwide by 0.7 percent.
Data via Nielsen Korea shows Black Out, Episode 8 earned a nationwide rating of 6.4 percent on Saturday night versus Friday night’s previous all-time high of 5.7 percent, and giving the drama another new personal best.
The MBC drama also saw a new all-time high rating from audiences in Seoul, with a slightly smaller increase from Friday’s 5.7 percent to last night’s 6.1 percent viewership.
Both ratings are excellent considering Black Out airs in the same timeslot as the SBS drama Good Partner, which has been one of the top shows in South Korea in recent weeks.
Great news for the cast and crew of Black Out as, with just 6 episodes left to air in the 14-episode series, recent ratings indicate the Kdrama could end up with an audience share for its finale that are massively higher than its first episode.
Black Out stars Byun Yo Han, Ko Jun, Go Bo Gyeol, and Kim Bo Fa.
The Korean drama’s next episode will air on Friday, September 13th on MBC in South Korea, with Hulu streaming it internationally.
