The superb Korean romantic comedy Castaway Diva has climbed onto a Netflix Top 10 most-watched list just a few days after being released on the world’s most popular streaming platform.

According to the just-released latest viewer numbers from Netflix, Castaway Diva is now the 9th most-watched non-English TV show on the platform for the week October 30th to November 5th, 2023.

During that time, the K-drama was viewed more than 7.7 million hours, with over 1.6 million total views so far.

The Park Eun Bin-led drama was in the Top 10 in 14 countries, including Taiwan, Thailand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

Not bad for a drama with only four episodes out so far, eh?

Castaway Diva also performing well in South Korea

It isn’t just international viewers that seem to be loving the new K-drama either, as Castaway Diva‘s audience share in South Korea, where it airs on tvN, has also more than doubled since it premiered on October 28th.

Those ratings were a decent 3.17 percent for its first episode but, by the time its fourth episode was over, the romantic comedy had grabbed 7.98 percent of the audience on Sunday night.

As word continues to get around about just how good the Oh Choong Hwan-directed K-drama is, those ratings and the drama’s Netflix viewers are only likely to increase.

Castaway Diva stars Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, and Kim Joo Hun.

It airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST) on tvN in South Korea, with Netflix streaming each new episode to its users soon after.
