The ongoing crime drama Evilive, Episode 6 aired last night on Genie TV and ENA in South Korea to its second highest rating of the series so far.
According to Nielsen Korea, Evilive, Episode 6 grabbed 1.27 percent of the audience share nationwide, which is a nice increase from its previous episode’s 0.95 percent, as well as the drama’s second highest rating yet.
In Seoul, the Genie TV/ENA drama also earned a strong rating with 1.31 percent of the audience and, again, its second highest recorded rating so far.
Evilive‘s move to a different schedule has helped its ratings
Both ratings are interesting as, before ENA moved Evilive from its original Saturday/Sunday time slot to its current Sunday/Monday slot, the K-drama was struggling in the ratings due to the strong competition from already-hit dramas on other channels.
So much so, its first episode only earned a 0.28 percent rating.
Since its move on October 22nd, however, Evilive has garnered its two highest ratings — 1.66 percent for Episode 4, and last night’s 1.27 percent for Episode 6.
With four more episodes of the 10-episode Evilive yet to air, it will be interesting to see how well the Korean drama performs going forward.
Unfortunately for international viewers, Evilive is not available legally in most regions, so most drama lovers cannot help this excellent drama further improve its reach.
Evilive stars Shin Ha Kyun, Kim Young Kwang, and Shin Jae Ha, and is currently airing on ENA every Sunday and Monday at 22:00 (KST).
