Good Partner Ep 7 SMASHES ratings with highest ever audience share

When the Korean drama Good Partner was postponed for three weeks due to the Olympic Games coverage, I was definitely worried that delay in airing episodes would impact its very strong ratings.

Thankfully, that has not been true in the slightest as, not only did Good Partner return on Friday evening to its highest ever Friday rating, but Good Partner, Episode 7 aired last night to a huge jump in ratings and to the K-drama’s highest ever audience share.

According to Nielsen Korea, Good Partner, Episode 7 smashed the ratings on Saturday night by grabbing 17.7 percent of the nationwide viewership — which is a huge increase from Episode 6’s rating of 13.6 percent.

In Seoul, the SBS drama performed even better earning 18.7 percent of the viewership — up from the already very strong 14.3 percent the K-drama earned for Episode 6.

The Korean drama was also the second most-watched show on South Korean TV for all of Saturday, with only the weekend drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic beating it with an 18.1 percent viewership.

In other words, with ratings this strong, it is very likely the SBS drama could pass the 20.0 percent audience share mark before it’s done.

Good Partner airs on SBS in South Korea every Friday and Saturday night through September 20th.

Outside South Korea, Viki streams the drama for its international subscribers. It is currently being rated a very high 9.4 out of 10 over there by its viewers.

The Korean drama stars Jang Na RaNam Ji Hyun, Kim Jun Han, Pyo Ji Hoon, Ji Seung Hyun, and Han Jae Yi.

And yep, if you haven’t begun watching it yet, you are missing something superb.
