The vampire-themed drama Heartbeat, Episode 9 aired on KBS2 in South Korea last night, and earned its lowest rating yet nationwide.

According to Nielsen Korea, the Ok Taec Yeon-led drama garnered just 2.3 percent of the audience share nationwide, which placed it in 28th place for the day.

That rating was down .50 percent from the drama’s previous episode, and down 1.8 percent from its highest rated episode so far (Episode 1).

Numbers are not yet out for last night’s ratings in Seoul.

With seven more episodes to air before Heartbeat ends, however, there is still plenty of time for the drama to head back to its first episode success.

In Hae (played by Won Ji An) is definitely cementing herself as one of my top favorite female leads ever in Kdramas. She is so freaking relatable!

Wow the best episode (Episode 9) so far! I loved how that dry tree could have its “flowers”, how anyone can love and be loved…that was the best moment for me!

And as many of you have commented, we finally get some background stories of the second leads… very intriguing… and now we know who DIDN’T steal the gold.

Heartbeat, Episode 9 is now streaming outside Korea via Waave and Amazon Prime Video.

Episode 10 will air in South Korea later on today, and stream internationally around the same time.
