The award-winning Korean historical drama Korea-Khitan War, Episode 17 aired on KBS2 last night to the drama’s usual strong ratings.

The latest data from Nielsen Korea show Korea-Khitan War, Episode 17 garnered 9.8 percent of the audience share nationwide.

That made it the second most-watched TV show of the day on South Korean TV, as well as #1 in its time slot.

That rating is also just slightly down from its previous episode’s 10.0 percent, but still an incredibly strong rating for a twice-weekly drama with a scheduled 32 episodes.

In Seoul, the hit drama also performed well seeing a slightly stronger rating than its previous episode (9.0 percent versus 8.7 percent).

Cast of Korea-Khitan War continue to reap rewards

The drama’s cast also continues to reap the benefits of creating a hit series, with the drama and its cast earning seven awards at the KBS Drama Awards in December, including for its scriptwriter.

Meanwhile, actor Choi Soo Jong, who won the Daesung at the KBS Drama Awards for his performance in Korea-Khitan War, was in the #1 spot on the January drama actor brand reputation rankings this month.

The next episode of Korea-Khitan War will air later on tonight on KBS2 in South Korea at 21:25 (KST), with Disney Plus streaming it for international viewers in some regions.

With the K-drama’s ratings staying as strong as they have been since it premiered, we can likely only expect the same strong ratings or higher tonight as well.
